ATI stinks - ok ATI doesnt stink, just a little smelly, but my CD ROM drive did stink (Hi Val) haha

well the games wouldnt load, so i assumed the video card//driver was screwing up......... remember this wasnt in ALL Games, just a few, so anyway the cd rom drive had been making some funny noises lately and i saw some plastic shavings when i removed a cd the other day, lol, so I replaced that...

latest update, I got a new cd rom drive and everything seems to be running fine now.........so maybe ATI doesnt "stink", they just have a "not so fresh feeling"(not enough driver releases, OFFICIAL ones) ok, Im done griping, now I can enjoy this nice image quality. thanks...

yep, works everytime if i go into safe mode first but it wont work if i just turn the comp on and boot right into windows.

Playstation 2 vs AIWA dvd player----I NEED YOUR ADVICE NOW!!!!!!!

ps2 dvd playback is good, much better than VCR but not as good as dedicated mid range dvd player, definitely not as good as high end dvd player. btw, u can get a dvd remote for ur ps2, u dont have to use the game controllers.

AMD and M/B recommendations

I want to get an amd t-bird and m/b, one that has had good success overclocking, any recommendations? I've been primarily an Intel user so I dont know a lot about the amd stuff, and I have heard the amd cpu's are very easily damaged ? crushed ? whats this all about. oh and cost is factor, so I...

ok the wierdest thing happened, I booted into safe mode last night, I was gonna uninstall video, sound drivers one more time, food was ready so i just let the comp sit with the safe mode desk top for a bit, then when i came back i said to hell with changing the drivers again, i just rebooted...

sorry forgot the voltages, std voltage, i didnt have to bump it at all the bus speed is 100 mhz, i just went from 66 mhz to 100 mhz for the overclock, been running great for a while in that setup, playing UT and Q3 a lot till recently.

ok, i have a std radeon 32 ddr, not overclocked or tweaked in anyway using 7089 driver set off rage3d celery 600@900 128 megs pc 100 ram SB live sound 20 gig HD x 2 usr sportster 56k windows 98 original
