Sweet, I actually already have (though I'd forgotten) mobipocket on my Dell Axim pocketpc. And since she found several more books on Gutenberg, the Kindle it is - thanks guys:)

Crap, you're right. I ripped it first to her laptop, then did the backup, which took 8 minutes!! Then why the hell do these manufacturers cripple fast laptops with slow dvd drives, what's the logic there?
