Nforce4: failed ?

I think Nforce4 is just a refresh of Nforce3 which, in itself, is a pretty solid chipset... all in all, it'll be a significant upgrade (with the A64 and PCI-E) from my current Nforce2/XP/AGP setup. Altogether it'll be a little expensive, but I'm about due for a complete system rebuild anyways...

Why do my 3dmark scores suck on my OCed system?

The Catalyst 3.10 drivers seemed to be the best for benchmark scores. 3.7 (what I use personally) is also good, but I have no experience with the Omega drivers due to my preference for Rage3DTweak and the fact that the Omega drivers don't seem to work correctly with that application installed...

geforce2 oc bench marks

I get about 2950 in 3DMark2001SE with a Voodoo5-5500 AGP at 1024x768x32. That's with a 2400+@2.14 ghz processor pushing the card at stock 166/166 speed. I'm surprised that my system is scoring higher than your GF2 system, albeit with a 500 mhz difference. The V5 was originally released in...

How hard is living with a Voodoo 5?

Possible to recoat AR layer on CRT screen?

Forehead oil? :D No one's mentioned this, but is it possible to use your warranty to get the screen fixed? Before you start ripping off the anti-glare coating and all.

Kyro2 replacement

Radeon 8500 > GF3 Ti200 ... it's faster than even the GF3 Ti500 in most benchmarks.

I have a similiar system to yours (Kyro II, 1600+@1.54 Ghz, 256 megs DDR) and decided to upgrade the video card a little while ago... ATI has really gotten back into the 3D gaming business with improved drivers, so I decided to take a chance on the Radeon 8500 LE w/ 128 megs DDR. I picked it up...

Guys I need some 3dmark2001 SE and Quake 3 benchmarks with a GF3 and GF4 and Rad 8500

Hmm... just got a Radeon LE OEM w/ 128 megs DDR the other day... it arrived clocked at 250/400 (which is horrendous, do yourself a favor and spend the extra for retail) but I managed to overclock it to 293/488 without artifacts. It's running on a 1600+@1.54 Ghz, SiS735 K7S5A w/ 256 megs DDR and...

Geforce4 Cards For a budget minded gamer

Maybe not today's games, but definitely tomorrow's... especially if you plan to be still playing games a year from now with the 4200. I wouldn't purchase a new card with less than 128 megs of RAM unless future proofing isn't a concern for you. Right now for today's games you'll see the biggest...
