LCD Monitors and lag?

i just got myself an LG Flatron L1510S and it's fantastic, great in movies, games and general desktop use, it has a response time of 30ms i think, or 25ms anything higher than 30ms though and will notice it start to lag a little if you see a TFT monitor you like, check out the manufacturers...

LCD for gaming. good or bad?

there are pro's and cons to getting an LCD monitor over a CRT monitor, for me the pros outweigh the cons in my situation, and i actually prefer the image quality in gaming over things like refresh rates. for me i use 1024x768 on my samsung syncmaster 570S 15 inch LCD monitor. everything just...

Gamma correction in Open GL apps (Leadtek GF4)

have you tried www.guru3d.com? they have a few decent programs on there i haven't specifically tried any of the programs to do that yet but i am sure i saw one on the site that should do something similar. read in their forums as well, they may be able to help you out hope this helps

wow, so many thoughts and comments made, i wsh i could knock out a response to all of them but instead i will just post my thoughts on smoking. ok, first off it isn't just non-smokers that get annoyed when a smoker is smoking close by, i have a friend who smokes and she does not like it at all...

can you DO this with a 9700?? just pull an 8500 out and stick a 9700 in?

moishe, that exactly what i found out, that it is a seperate program that installs it self from another program, i just deleted it from startup and found the root folder and deleted the sucker, it took about 3mb of my system memory as taskmanager showed!

What Desktop Resolution are you running and what size monitor?

well i have a samsung syncmaster 570S which is a TFT screen. it is 15 inches and i run it at max res i can which is 1024x768 unfortunately. there is no difference between 60hz and 70hz that i can tell on a TFT monitor but as it keeps reverting back to 60hz after playing a game it dont bother me...

yeah i know what you mean, formatting is pretty good when you got loads of junk, it's also good for testing your system, when you format and put everything back on, but just windows, not all your games and office programs etc then i find that's the best way to test your graphics card, for...

it should be fine mate, just un-install the current drivers that you are using for the radeon 8500, switch off machine, stick new radeon 9700 in, boot up and install the drivers again for it. even though they are the same drivers you must un-install them when you take out the radeon 8500 and...

Why is my 3DMark2001 score (5518) so LOW on a GF4 4200 64meg?

you think that's bad? i only get about 7500 if i am lucky with my geforce 4 Ti4200 64mb, yet i have a shuttle SS51G with a pentium 4 2.0AGhz CPU and 256mb crucial PC2100 ddr ram. i have checked on madonion.com and i have seen people with very similar spec machine getting around 3000 points...

AIW 8500DV in UT2003 - how fast?
