XML Financial Indexes

Didn't know where to post this, guess this as good as place as any. Anyone know where to get an XML or other type of feed for NASDAQ and DOW indexes? Also all the sub indexes like the 20 transportation. I've found the NASDAQ's individual symbol quote XML feed, but no others.

Best OS for Linux Server

I'm looking for the easiest way to set up a full featured linux server. Out of the box I want Apache, PHP, MySQL, FTP(server), and Samba all working. So far I'm using RedHat9 and having some issues with the versions it comes with and being too stupid to update to the latest versions of php...

RH8 Firewalling Help!

How can I configure the default firewall provided in redhat 8 through the CLI? I want to enable access to port 27015 so that I can run a Half Life Server. I only have SSH access (as root). Please Help!

Apache problem

I've got RedHat 8.0 and am using the version of apache that came with it but has a strange bug. Whenever I want to access a dir on the server from a web browser I have to follow it with a / ie mydomain.com/mystuff/. I know this shouldn't be, how can I fix it?

public_html dirs with RedHat 8.0

RedHat doesn't enable /~$user/public_html dirs in apache by default. I can't figure out how to enable them, no matter what I do to /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf nothing works. Anyone know how to fix this?

I'm looking for something that will allow me to burn a cd with an auto starting slide show. I'd like the created slide show discs to be as simple to use as possible so that my less technically inclined family members can use them. Any suggestions?

Console Watching

I have a mandrake 8.2 box with several wyse 60 terminals attached. They are running fine. Is there any way to "echo" their activity. By that i mean watch the activity, on say, tty02. Is the opposite possible? Can i instruct tty02 to watch console for example without ever messing with tty02.

Mandrake 8.2 - need help getting php/mysql to play togethar

I've just completed a clean install of Mdk 8.2. During the install i installed all of the php packages and all of the mysql packages (if it matters i didn't install any of the postgres packages). Now when i attempt to run any php scripts that have any mysql functionality i get this error...
