I don't know about ATI, but I set up my Nvidia driver to toggle between portrait and landscape mode with a hotkey (I set it to ctrl-alt-r). Very handy. Just turn the screen and hit a key. Very convenient.
Now only if it remembered my desktop icon locations between rotations....
You can get an idea of what it will look like at native resolution by setting your video card to a lower resolution (1280x1024, for instance), and setting the monitor to display in 1:1 mode. (This is the Scaling option under the Image Settings menu.) With this mode, you will get black bars on...
I can't find any drivers for the ATI on my laptop either. Let me know if you can find a way to get it to work.
BTW--Just received my replacement monitor. It's a REV01, with no stuck pixels, less backlighting problem (but still there a little). This one's a keeper.
I just got mine, and I'm loving it. Although I have one stuck green pixel near the middle of the screen, and some backlight issues, which I think may warrant my talking with Dell about a replacement.
