Options for 1440p Glossy Screen?

CRT vs modern LCD: Taking a look back

I had one of the last of the Trinitron monitors, and I definitely miss the PQ. It was certainly as sharp as my LCD if properly configured. Basically everything outside of raw PQ has been improved upon, however. I'm very much looking forward to affordable OLED screens in desktop monitor sizes.

Options for 1440p Glossy Screen?

I admit I haven't spent much time looking at "modern" matte screens, but I doubt they'd sway me to the point that I'd be really satisfied with one. Do any stores sell the Ultrasharps so that I could view one in person? And a 40" is out the question. It'd be way too big for my seating distance...

Help! Monitor Blank After Reboot

The ~$60 Xonar DX seemed much more comparable to the X-Fi. I've been using Klipsch 5.1 Promedias for years. I wouldn't expect a $15 soundcard to drive them nearly as well as either of those. If it means anything, the onboard Realtek audio was immediately and completely unacceptable to me...

I looked at them, but they came with as many mixed reviews as the Creative stuff, so I flipped a coin and ended up back with an X-Fi. Anyway, the Titanium is in and it installed and is working flawlessly. It's time to have the real fun now. :)

New PC Won't Boot With GPU Plugged In

Ok, so I feel like a bit of an idiot. I had the DVI connector plugged into the wrong port. Now everything is working. However, the fans still slow down tremendously with the GPU fully plugged in. Is this normal? That's really what was throwing me off. Temps seem fine for the moment, FWIW.
