I have one more thing that I need help understanding. An ata 100 hard drive usually runs at 7200rpm, and a scsi hard drive runs at 10,000. However, the scsi cost about 3 times as much when you add in the controller card. Is it worth the difference or am I missing something? Once again, thanks guys.

This server is going to be in a small bussiness where there will be not more than 6 people accessing it. The vid card reccomendations makes sense. If I went with a single processor, even a xp2000 or something equivalent, and took the extra money and used it for the memory and an scsi hard drive...

What is the purpose of RAID?

I have a friend who is going to build a server and wants to incorporate a tape drive for backup. Would you recomend using a raid configuration instead? if so which one?

Are RAID and Dual processors necessary for Small Biz Servers?

Is that travan ide tape drive a good drive? My friend is thinking on putting one on a server. The guy he is building it for wants at least xp1600, and he is planning on using the asus dual cpu board. what do you think.

Caller Id software

I am looking for a good software program that will let me see who is calling when I am online. I have caller Id from the phone company. The simpler the better, for this is going to go on my mothers computer.( I have dsl). Any opinions will be appreciated

Envision EN-5100 15" LCD $170, UPdate: Got it from B&M for $190.

the one I picked up today is the 5100-e. dont know what the difference is, but for 180 after rebate it works great for me. My friend went with me and bought one also, He had only been home with it about an hour and he had already sold it for 275.

lpt to usb converter
