Best recording soundcard

Hello I am helping a friend design a new system that will be used for some live recording via Cakewalk or Steinberg. Can anyone recommend a good sound card for these types of apps, preferebly with lots of inputs. Thanks

Matt That sounds like a good deal but I looked them up and I do not like the tweeter on top. The Diamond models look nice though, may be a contender. Thanks for the link though.

What cpu for nForce board?

Maybe I am really dense after reading all the previews, I still have no idea what processors the Nvidia chipset will support. Will it handle existing Durons, Athlon XP, Palomino???? Thanks to anyone who can clera this up for me
