DEAD -OOS - 19" LCD monitor - 800 contrast, 250 brightness, 8ms response - $120 !!, staples.com, no name brand (vseven)

I bought a coupon on Ebay for .99, plus shipping less than $4. It did stack and I got this monitor for about $130. The easy rebate did not work on the Staples website. I will have to mail it in. JD

Hard Drive Deals for week of 10/23/05

I just ordered the 120GB Seagate from Best Buy and chose in store pickup. It has only been 15 minutes and I already received an email stating it is ready for pick up. Not bad, $35 for this drive! Thanks for the post. JD

OK, one more quick question... Does this find the activation code, or the CD key? I ran it and came up with a what appears to be a CD Key, but it does not match the CD key listed on the Windows XP sticker on the side of the case (this is a Dell computer). Does anyone know if this software...

WD 74 Raptor SATA

I have one in an Antec P180 case. It is very fast, and I never hear it. I'm not sure about all the discussion about HDD noise. I have a couple of Dell computers that sound like a wind tunnel. The case fan and the CD/DVD drives are extremely loud. I don't think you will have any noise...

Post the specs of the first PC you ever owned....

My first was a squirrel powered abacus. I couldn't afford the nuts to feed the squirrel anymore, so I eventyally bought a Packard Bell 486SX, 4MB of RAM, 210 MB HDD, 5 1/4" floppy and a dot matrix printer! I think it cost about $2200. JD

I had never worked on a computer until two weeks ago. I built a high end system and had no problems, no glitches. I built a low end budget system, reusing CD RW, HDD, Wireless network PCI card, Floppy, etc. Some of the components were 4-6 years old, so I wondered how it would work...
