Need a new game suggestion, worn out on Bethesda

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning This is a very large world. Story by a R.A. Salvatore and Todd McFarlane on the Art. Action packed fighting mechanics and just an all-around beautiful environment. I may have to reinstall.

I think it might be worth the time to email a company like was said earlier. Otherwise, I've been combing the net for some freebies - I just don't know how much interest I'll get for the old starcraft 1. Someone mentioned the violence in the games and you're right, I have to be pretty careful...

BTW, you guys snuck those last two in while I was writing! I like the C&C idea...I'll have to look into it. The DOTA and LOL is another good idea. Is CS a Teen rating? I think I could get away with that with some creative permission slipping :). Thanks for the ideas!

Which game have you played the most non-stop?

Don't post often, but I had to share that Ultima Online was definitely my choice for long gaming sessions. Once played for basically a whole weekend. I think the thing that made this most epic was that it was in the infancy of dial-up in my area, so none of the ISPs really new what they were...

Turns out it was a bad stick of ram =/. Tough to troubleshoot the new machine AND try to install an unfamiliar OS. Anyway, it's officially installed and now I'll have to connect to the network and try to get activated. I'm sure I'll be back for advice on that registry change that might be...

Well, after reading those pages, it appears that as long as I download and burn to media on a win7 64bit machine, I should be able to install straight onto a newly built computer. With the possible exception being that I might have to do a registry tweak. Am I following correctly?

well, the install would be a clean win8 install - keeping nothing. I just read that if you can download and burn the installer on a 64bit install, you can clean install 64bit over a 32bit. Does that make sense? And, is it worth the chance?

so, essentially, the upgrade is not an option for me - as I want to keep win7 on this box. Well, I've got a $20 coupon for win8 through newegg after buying all the components...maybe I'll browse a bit...
