Any way to test CPU?

The PSU is an Antec Truepower 550w Currently, the system consists of 3 case fans, 1 heatsink fan, the Opty 170, 1gb ram and a 7800gt. I haven't plugged in drives yet. -Jeff

New computer won't POST, no video signal

I thought this was the highly-technical forum.. so I didn't expect 6 pages of people who don't know the slightest bit about astrophysics to post "blow it up". The first issue with blowing something up is that a combustion is required... which doesnt' occur without oxygen - an element that space...
