Ya it must have been in bad shape because the last year the lumina was made (in the US) was 2001. It has had 8 years for it to be beat up. Although they never made a 4cy lumina or a lumina lt.....
Sounds like a Passkey issue to me. I have a 96 Lumina with a resistor in the key and used to not start randomly for exactly 3 min. I ended up wireing in my own resistor. Anyways, I don't know much about the newer passkey systems but founds this video that might help you get started.
This is a very common issue on GM's. The rust isn't from gas on the outside of the paint, it is rusting from the inside out from when rain enters in behind the gas door and drains onto the inside sheet metal. The only true way of fixing that would be to cut that area out and weld in a new piece...
The only MDF trim I have seen as HD/Lowes has been pre-primmed and is meant to be painted. I hate going through 20 pieces of "select Pine" trim to find one that isn't a hockey stick or has 10 knots in it.
Getting back on track here I saw a fairly decent recliner on the side of the...
My dads 04 civic lx was doing something similar to that. The tank would be almost empty and the gauge was correct. You would put gas in it the gauge would take anywhere from 1 second to reach full to 30-50 miles for the gauge to go back up. He got the cluster replaced under warrenty. However the...
A 2x12 is really 1.5" x 11.25". If you need 2.5" I think you are going to have issues with a single piece of wood which is why I recommended to build a mini ramp with 2 levels. For example the bottom level could have a 15" long piece with a a 8" second piece on top... Although this is 3". You...
These are similar to rhino ramps but I built something like This and love it.
Went to the HomeDepot and found a slightly warped 12 foot 2x12 for 75% off or 50% off cant remember. I would get a 2x12 for added safety because you don't want to roll off the side of it. These work great and are...
and struts aren't a wear item? Hmmmm I guess struts should last forever given this theory........
Although I do agree that leaking struts @ 40k is bad.
In past videos he 'claims' that it is a 'redneck nose picker'
Beside that his videos are great to watch. Hours of fun and you don't feel so guilty because you are learning a lot in the process.
Ya I have a Craftsman 7.0HP front wheel self propelled mower and that thing is so heavy that it is actually easier to mow with a lighter manual push mower especially if you have a smallish yard with lots of turns or hills. As far my self propelled mower it does go decently fast but turning that...
Weird, the first time I ran the small test core 1 failed on the last test but it didn't BSOD. I ran the test 3 more rounds it hasn't failed again. I also ran the long test once and it was fine. O-well I better bump up the vCore one more step to be safe. I will move to orthos next and let that...
Thanks, I changed it from blend to small FFT for now. I kinda wanted to test the ram too since I did overclock it a little. The ram seems stable so now I will work on mostly the CPU. How long should I let it run on the small FFT and large FFT settings?
I got the CPU today from UPS and popped it in and fired it up and noticed I had a E0 stepping chip =D I started out @ 9x445Mhz vCore 1.36v with the ram 1:1 @ 5-5-5-15 2.1v. I ran prime95 for a half hour and it was fine. I kept lowing my voltage two steps at a time in the BIOS and I am now down...
