Do older 'flip phones' have bands that newer phones don't have?

Not to be pedantic, but it gets more granular than just the cell tower location. Within each cell site, the individual sectors may route to different PSAP. The control of the outbound dialed number (from the network perspective) can be controlled at a sector granularity. In the Alcatel-Lucent...

Have to agree with you there. I just relocated from Houston to Dallas to find that I have to pay 1 or 2 dollars just to pick someone up or drop off at DFW.

Just how bad are these students loans?

Not always true. My company is on a kick where they have contracted with a Talent Acquisition company. If you don't pass the same filters as an external (certifications, degree level) you won't get passed on to the hiring manager. I was more fortunate to have the GI Bill available to me...

Verizon may be taking away unlimited data?

I always find the posts that say "just upgrade the infrastructure" humorous. The notion that it's just the flick of the switch to light up new spectrum is far from the truth. On top of the eNodeB manufacturers supporting the newer spectrum, you also have to get that other part of the RF...
