We've opened a bug with Avast. We believe one of the ad providers had a bad ad.
I should also note that we are in the process of rolling out a system to scan all ads before they are rendered to prevent these issues.
We are testing a new system from an outside vendor. I'll tell them to take a look at this thread. Are you guys blocking javascript or using an ad blocker?
I dropped a note to operations on the favicon. They will check it out.
We actually do block ad creative in response to complaints, but as I said above the main problems are where we don't see the creative ahead of time.
Thanks, I just saw one. I'll check with our AdTech team to see if we are specifying that as a size or the programmatic buyers are targeting them at the regular banner size.
We (Purch) are looking into this issue. My initial conclusion is that we need to upgrade the hardware the site is running on. In any event, I promise we'll improve the page speed over time.
We are going to be doing a complete technical assessment in the next few weeks and seeing what we can improve on. That's something I will definitely be looking at.
