Memory issue with i5 3570k and Asus P8Z77-V LX mobo...

Doesn't help directly, but for reference I have the very similar P8Z77-V-LK and have no problems with a set of Mushkin 997046 (not on the list) in the blue slots. Running using the XMP profile.

The PC and Skyrim - An Issue of Porting

Look, if you think Oblivion was one of the best games ever you should have no problem with "console ports", of Skyrim or anything else for that matter. As a fan of the series since Arena, Oblivion completely broke my heart (although it was still an enjoyable game that I didn't feel ripped off...

Any brand recommendations for ATI cards? My last ATI card was back when you could still get them ATI branded.

Just to be clear, I know I wouldn't be gaming on the IGP, I just meant as something to keep the machine running on during a GPU RMA or something like that. I was thinking the value of it would more be about the possibility to eventually use the mobo in a media center PC once I'm done with it...

Xbox 360 controller for windows.

Sorry to res this old thread, but I just bought a wired 360 controller to use on my PC. Everything works fine, but the green lights around the "X" button won't stop flashing and it's kind of annoying. Is there any fix for that? Thanks. j

Batch file to move all subdirectories except one

Not sure how to do this. I have an application that produces various files inside folders named by date. It also produces index files named by date in the root folder. I want to have a scheduled task to run at the end of every month to move all of the folders to a different location...

Sins of a Solar Empire for $20 at Target

If you know RTSs, it's really not that hard. It's actually very slow paced compared to most, so you shouldn't have much trouble. You're not going to know what's going on the first time or two, since it's not quite the same as the standard Warcarft style, but if you have any experience with 4X...

Some clarification. Impulse is required to get the patches for the game, but not to play the game. The comparisons to Steam are somewhat incorrect in that regard. If Impulse disappears tomorrow, it won't affect your ability to play the game.

Fingerprints on "New" Asus p5q pro

I just got this board from them last week. My static bag was not sealed, no stickers or tape. Everything looked clean on mine, except the CPU socket cap was dislodged. No damaged pins though. So far everything is rock solid with it.
