KVM switch recommendations

I'm looking to get a KVM switch so I can have my gaming PC and laptop docking station all hooked up to the same monitor/mouse/keyboard. Any recommendations or things to think about? Should I pay extra for Dynamic Device Mapping (DDM) or is it not worth it? Requirements... DisplayPort 2 ports...

4690k or 4790 for GTX 970

You won't see much of a difference with gaming, but if you use it for productivity then hyperthreading on the i7 might be nice. One thing you might want to consider though is a solid state drive. Will definitely make a big difference!

The rest of your build will be absolutely fine, just see what frame rates your getting and switch to the 980 if required. Then spend $2k in 2015 :)

Insanity, or great idea?

So HDMI 2.0 is seeing product launches, which means 4K@60Hz finally. Is there any good reason I can't hook one of these up to a monster gaming rig and start 4k gaming? What's the benefit of using a "proper" monitor? DisplayPort is one thing, and all the large (30"+) 4K monitors have professional...

GTX 980 SLI Build

I'm no expert of SLI, but I don't think you can mix cards like that. You could switch them both out for a 980 but at 1080p, they probably still work fine. Is it struggling with the DK2? If so then go for it, but if not your rig is pretty insane; If I were you I'd wait until 20nm hits.

There will be a new series when they move to 20nm process from 28nm, which will be almost certainly be some time in 2015. They also have the option of adding new cards above the current line up in response to whatever AMD comes out with next (R9 390 etc). Given the low TDPs of the 970/980, this...

DDR4 - awesome or meh?

So DDR4 is just on the horizon. To me 4 is a higher number than 3, by 33% in fact, so this seems awesome. However are we really going to see much real world benefit? In the light of articles like this on memory scaling I'm not sure how much the extra MHz will be of use. Am I missing something...
