monitor problem, possibly my KVM switch?

i have 2 comps hooked up through a KVM switch(belkin omnicube) my one computer is fine. but when i switch to my second, the screen is "jittery". i just installed win2k server on the second. When i boot win98 SE on it., its not (as) jittery. it is VERY very slightly, but in win2k..the jumpyness...

setting static ips..

ok good. when i release/renew, i get the same dns, but it doesnt "revive" the line. ill have to troubleshoot more into my hardware to pinpoint the problem. If anyone else gets this problem with their router, please inform me. thanks,. j

setting static ips..

i currently have comcast cable going thru my linksys 4 port to two comps, win98 SE on both. I am having problems with one of the connections going dead after heavy usage...ie. internet surfing and gaming. if i reboot the comp that goes dead..the connection is fine...until i surf or game again...

grrrrrrrrr frustrated trying to set up home network help please!

you may want to disable ICS if you are using the Dlink as a router. It may be conflicting. Are you connecting through cable? DSL? If cable you may need to set up your comp name and workgroup (if using comcast) on the router and set each computer to a local workgroup. My old DSL and current...

help with extra USB...

I was wondering if anyone that has the PC-68 lian-li case can instruct me on how to connect the 4 front USB ports to my mother board. The documentation that came with the case is very lacking in terms of instruction. I have an Asus a7m266 motherboard. If any further information is needed...

CPU temp.

i just got my amd 1.33 axia(not OCed) and slapped a OCZ gladiator on it. I was running about 127 F (i hate Celcius!!). Some guy at a lan i went to recently pretty much freaked when i told him i just had my HSF lying on my CPU with no thermal paste. He busted out some artic silver II, IMMEDIATELY...

'Soft' Restart Problem

congratz deltoro, feels good to get rid of that pesky problem huh? i had my netgear on an abit mobo prior to getting my new sys and it would 'die' after a few min of surfing the web. i had two comps going through my linksys and the other card was fine(3com). its amazing how that card caused...

i took out the netgear card and it worked fine...in terms of rebooting. i threw in an old soho piece of crud nic i had from a few years ago...and it reboots fine. only problem is now, when i go to 'shut down' through windows....it reboots lol. i will most likely pick up a 3com card tomorrow and...

i have the same exact problem with my Asus a7m266 board. It is very annoying, but like deltoro, i also have a netgear card in it, i think i will go pick up a 3com and test it out. hope it works. j

ok good. ya i guess the airflow is not idea pulling thru the filter. ill look into smacking another one in the front. and possibly one on the side. are there any charts i can look at that you know of that show what the threshold is , the temp that i should worry about when i get near it? j thnx...

ideal temps?

after running my sys in a game of T2 or Q3 with all options maxed, my CPU temp was 117 F, and the mobo was about 90 F. idle my cpu is 107 F and mobo is 82 F. What should these temps be at? I have an amd 1.33(not Oc'ed) on a asus a7m266 mobo. Nothing is OCed, and i have artic silver II under the...
