I've got some ArctiClean that I used for my 212+ installation. Worked fine - though it's a bit expensive. The first bottle smells like citrus...maybe it's just 'goo gone', and the second doesn't really smell like anything, but I bet a high % alcohol would work just as well. I used coffee...
Yeah I realize that...I'm looking for anything that would be considered a not-so-obvious downside to buying an h67 board. If there isn't one, the $25 savings is appealing.
Is this micro h67 board basically the same as the p67 minus the ability to overclock? It seems to have good reviews and good features - and it's one of the only 1155 boards with a good combo deal. I'm thinking of pairing it with a 2400 or 2500 and using the integrated video for a while - then...
I'm still on a C2D E6300 that I bought right when the Core 2's came out. Still runs fine for video and web browsing...I'm tempted to buy a sandy bridge setup, but I'm not sure the benefits are worth $500. Also - I feel like an idiot for paying $169.99 for my Asus P5B vanilla motherboard at the...
I just blew out all the dust I could find and pulled off the sticker to hit it with some WD40. It doesn't seem to have become any quieter, although now it's making a funny noise as if the fan is coming to a halt a few times a minute. :D Maybe there was too much much dust in there still...
Oh...
Yeah you're probably right. I was thinking I might just spend $65-80 and pick up a new sapphire 4670 or 5670 - mainly because I like the looks of the big fan. The XFX cards seem much more popular than Sapphire at the moment, but the fans are tiny, and I worry about the noise they might make...
So I've got a Sapphire x850xt that I've had for nearly five years. I'd like to keep it running, but the fan on the heatsink is starting to get louder and louder. I'd like to go back to the nice whirring of air without any hint of that electronic grinding noise. Is there an easy fix for this...
These Asrock boards are taking forever to show up on newegg. I'm thinking of buying either the biostar tp67b+ or the asrock p67 pro3 - probably whichever is cheaper. Anyone have any thoughts as to which one is higher quality?
Cool, thanks for the replies. I'll continue using this BFG in the next build, as I've had no problems with it yet in my current core 2 duo setup - but I will keep my eyes open for any deals newegg might have on more efficient PSUs. :)
