It is not a problem with the firmware. It is a problem with the flash utility.

Yes it can. I just did 2 conversions to 8x8x32 and they work perfect but you will have to find the right flashing program.;) Mine were Ricoh's but your results may vary. Cendyne just repackages other companies drives. This is a very hot deal IF you get a Ricoh drive. I went friday morning and...

jwootang I just got 2 similar Ricoh drives and they can be firmware updated to 8x8x32. Done it and it works perfect.

CTX 950SL 19" good deal

The vl950 and the pl9 are the same monitor just different labels to discorage pricematching. I have had a pl9 aka vl950 for 2 years and it is a fabulous monitor.
