X850 XT PE $149.99 No Rebate

This should beat the pants off the 6800GS - the X850 XT PE was the top of the range card for a good while - better in many tests to the top of the 6800 range - the 6800 GTX. The 6800GS was more a mid range version I think - about level with ATI's X800XL.

Wow, amazing price. I think my work paid something like $500 for one of these for me 18 months ago. Awesome card - plays UT2K4 at 1920x1200 with all features very smoothly, and halflife2 at 1920x1200 with most stuff turned up high.

Definitly a matter of taste - I have a fairly thick memory foam pillow (maybe 5" or so) because I generally sleep on my side, but if you sleep on your back more, then a thinner one would probably be better.

When I got my mattress kit from Bergad (see my other posts in the thread, pages 25/26), there were no free pillows - aka the cheap option indeed. This thread is starting to look like an advert for Bergad :)

Good quality foam should definitly last better than that - maybe you have a bad one :( I've not really noticed any heat difference, but I've always been able to throw off my covers in my sleep if I got too hot, so probably not the best person to ask. My wife also hasn't noticed a problem, but...

That seems a pretty good price. The 5lbs density memory foam should be fairly firm (I have a 5.5lbs which gives great back support) unlike many of the cheapo memory foam toppers you get that are only 3 or 4lbs. For price comparison, I got a king size kit about 18 months ago for $480 plus $100...

Haven't used it, but looks good - 5lbs per cubic foot density foam should be reasonably firm, and 4" thick memory foam should be good (I wouldn't want it that thick if it was a less dense foam - you'd sink in too much). The price looks about right - $850 for a king. For comparison, you can...
