XP->Change resolution/Batch file?

My daughter uses my WinXP system and everytime the resolution changes to 800x600. I want to create a batch file that runs everytime i log in that sets my resolution to 1280x960x32... any ideas? I know if i simply put the batch file into the startup folder it will work assuming the batch file...

KDE 3.0 released

Downloaded and installed it this morning, and so far i have to say i love it! One question though, does anybody know to compile Keramik from cvs? I downloaded everything in it's directory and now have not the fogiest idea. Anyways, KDE 3 is very nice, closing in on the fit and finish of Windows.

Mandrake install and partitions

Linux and WinXP.

I have XP and Mandrake 8.2 on my system. I loaded XP first then loaded Mandrake, it now boots with lilo and i can choose which OS to start, they both work fine. I do not know why you would want/need to use the XP boot loader rather than lilo, lilo works fine for me. Make sure if you are using a...

in KDE.. when sending apps to other desktops.. how do you make the taskbar of the app apear only in the desktop its in?

Hey, so this is how it feels to be on the "other" side of these please help threads!!! The hair on the back of my neck is standing... not to mention my back, but that's another story!! Doh!!

Mandrake - X won't start

I have reloaded Mandrake 8.1 and everything was going great. I was able to install the latest nVidia drivers, got tuxracer and quake3 working, everything was great!! Today i try to boot it up all goes well until it reaches the nVidia splash screen. It show the splash screen for about 5 seconds...

Linux + USB

OK, i think the problem has something to do with HardDrake, when i open the Control Center and access the Hardware tab it try's to load HardDrake and it locks up and does not boot with USB, Sound or much else for that matter after. Therefore, i have loaded Mandrake again and will stay far away...
