Windows freezing during format

They have .iso's on the site also. You could also download ultimate boot cd. It has tons of diags on it. Overall, the UBCD is just something everyone should have.

how to remove socket 604 xeon heatsinks?

Memtest86+ v1.65

I think your memory is fine either way. If there are errors, memtest will display them like in the screenshot I posted. I haven't heard of anyone needing to go into the config to show errors. If your computer is functioning ok, why worry?

First of all, you shouldn't have to do the "c, error summary" thing. The errors should be displayed in the table under the main screen and the number of errors should be listed under "Errors". Check out this screenshot

The "Ez-Plug" should NOT be connected since you already have power being plugged into the video card. Unplug the ez-plug and try. However, I doubt this is the cause of the problem.

Also, what pci-e x16 slot is your video card in? For 1 video card, the manual recommends video card in blue slot. Edit: From reading the manual, you don't have the "Ez-Plug" 4 pin molex connected to the motherboard do you? It says to only use it when running vid cards without aux power...

"Re-seat" as in unplug and plug back in again. Look in the manual to check on the 1 stick of ram. By barebones, do like BigLar said and only use CPU, heatsink, memory and video card.
