i want to use my college internet connection to vpn to my house to use my home internet connection

the dc++ servers that we can use on campus are INTERNAL. as in, they are run by people on campus and accessible only by people on campus, using no bandwidth going out of or coming into campus. they are LAN only. i have never heard of the admins allowing people to use off-campus file-sharing...

i was hoping for some fellow shady file-sharers who would want to help the cause, but i get network admins. ;) i understand where you're coming from, but i can't give up that easily. anyway, we have huge dc++ servers on campus where people do lots and lots of (super fast) file-sharing. in...

at my college, certain ports are blocked to disallow xbox live / bittorrent / other things of the sort. i do believe that they do not block me from connecting to an outside vpn server, however... so, i would like to use my internet connection at school to vpn home and use my home internet...

bittorrent at college

here i am, in my college dormroom at UB, trying to get bittorrent to download me a file. i can find peers and seeds just fine, but it won't download at all. it says downloading (at 0 kbps). the client i am using is azureus, so that i can pick the tcp port to use. i figured that might help me...

help me! my front speaker jack died.

i have a stereo setup normally plugged into the front speaker output on my 4.1 channel sound card. for some reason, the front speaker output on my sound card is messed up now. i have the speakers plugged into where the rear speakers would normally go. music plays fine, but i have no sound in...

Maybe odd question... better bet: In dash car MP3/cd deck, or Ipod through cassette/FM adapter?

ps... i have an fm transmitter and i don't like it at all... that's y i will prolly opt for the aiwa deck sometime. i wuv my ipod. :D

hey... aiwa makes car decks that have auxilliary headphone jack (1/8") inputs right on the front. you could plug an ipod into one of those with no sound quality loss. hmm, not sure if u wanna buy an aiwa deck and an ipod tho... that'd be a little pricey. just my 2 cents.

more modern than barry mebbe? i got some ginuwine, r. kelly, brian mcknight... i'm also looking for mellow stuff, not stuff like "pony" by ginuwine or "peaches and cream" by 112, more of sumthin like "red light special" by tlc. thx fer the help

is it just me or is futurama wayyyyy better than king of the hill?

this is a battle between nerds and hicks. i, for one, am a big nerd. i don't like very much country music and i live in upstate new york in the suburbs. i like futurama a lot. i'm sure people in the south like king of the hill. what i'm saying is, we can all get along better once we stop...
