Weird problem you got bro. Check your case and see if the usb/pwr/rst/let were somehow pulled accidentally to the front of the case. The USB I got hook up via mb works. As I always used it to update my bios. Check the mb manual also. You might have just wired it improperly. You can't have that...

The mb with the latest bios are much better in terms of ram oc'ing. My current ram which is a buffalo firestix pc6400 (elpida ic) did 510mhz fully stable with T-Power I45 and with this mb it did 532Mhz.

You've already tried 2 sets of ram and the mb didn't co-operate, I don't see a reason why you should keep the mb imo. If you're still under the 30 day return period. Just exchange it. The mb is great when it works and it's no way junk. You just happen to have defective unit. It happens to all...

When you run prime95 blend, where exactly does it lock up? If you're running 450fsb and below with 8gb of ram. Try to not use cpu/mch skew and just test/oc normally.
Edit:
Looking at your SS N7, you just probably need a bump on PLL voltage. UT3/L4D cpu intensive games not as intense as...
