Looking at Newegg reviews I see quite a lot of DOA's and "bad Hitachi customer service." I'll pay a bit more to find a drive with less negative feedback.

Cheap booze. Pepperwood grove wines $1.27 at Trader Joes.

If true, that's fantastic. They are pretty good wines, especially the zinfandel (not white zin). The lowest I've seen them sell is $6.99, usually they are $7.99 or more. There is also a "around the neck" coupon on some bottles, in some stores, if you can find them, good until Jan 31, 2005...

Consider this.... The coupon is clearly from Staples. If it really isn't, Staples has the ability, and the responsibility to get it pulled, if necessary by court order. It's easy to find the isp of the originating site. I called my local staples manager, asked if it was fraudulent, was told...

Where do I find my "forum favorites"

I've noticed that if you want to follow a thread, you can clicke the yellow star, in the upper rh side, entitled "forum favorites." I've added several threads to this, but cannot figure out just where I click, or go to view my "forum favorites." Can someone clue me in please, Thanks

PC Video game thread (Ravenshield, Athena Sword, Battlefield Vietnam, UT2k4, etc.)

What's with this link?? I just tried it, and my comp hung. I figure, well...it's probably low on resources, so I tried it on another computer...also hung... Tried it on a third....hung...? Very strange...is it working for others? If not, it ought to be removed.

A good deal for some perhaps... but free NOT!! Try $12.99 a month... !!! Sucks in my book. New sort of "bait and switch" tactic? Comm'n EA, you'll make a bundle @ $2/month... but $144/year... Buy this for your nephew or neice (as I almost did) and suffa!!

Is there a benchmark/analysis program free of spyware?

I've got a 1.3 Celeron (Tualatin) with an ATI 9600 vidcard, my 3dmark3 score is only ~500, but I've noticed that when I play DiabloII on my older computer with the same processer, but a much older ati card, (3dmark3 score = ~60) it handles complex video activity much better than the new setup...

If you read their privacy policy, they add tribal fusion, and...well, I gave up trying to figure out what other sort of spyware....at least they admit it!! Unfortunately, as they say... essentially...."we have no control over what tribal does to your machine. *sigh* Is there a benchmarking...

Looking at their website, I see no hd for that price. Could you please include some info, skew, or item #, and days it will be on sale. I really don't mind waiting a month if all I will get is a rain check. I used to get "special offers" but don't anymore...I suspect that this shows on that...
