Hey stan Invest in a 9700pro, you can find them built by ati on retail shelves for $299, just go to compusa buy the product upgrade plan for $20 and once you get bored of the card go return it for what is best at the time. Also you won't see any performance difference between the ATI and the FX...

Best dual monitor video card?

Go with a Wildcat VP series I believe you can find the VP 560 for roughly $190 If not interested in that I have always heard that the ati has better 2 monitor support than nvidia but I have heard some very good things about the asus 9180VS

How prevelant is the 512MB memory problem on the new NVIDIA Nforce2 boards?

Hey magomago if you want to squeeze a little more performance out of your TB 1700 drop the mulitplier down to 9.5 and bring the FSB up to 200 MHZ I am running that exact setup with the A7N8X deluxe and I am reading as an xp 2400+

.........WOW.....My SUNON 84.1cfm Fan Almost Killed ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D I have a thermaltake dragon orb and I had my case open with my cpu on and somehow I managed to touch the top of the HSF with my finger and squirt it took a little chunk of skin right off. That thing spins at 7200RPm and sounds like my moms dustbuster. SO be careful with that one too.
