My internet doesn't work at night!

Hi all, I have had SBC/ATT DSL for 3 years, but for the last 10 nights, my internet has not been working (but it works in the day). The ATT tech just came out today and his meter shows that my line outside is nice and clean, but when he checked my modem line in the house, there is a 62% loss...

There's a file that is 0 bytes but I can't erase it! help please!

I tried to use Killbox...I could select the file, but when I pressed OK, it would not take it. I finally had the sense to transfer all the files out of that folder (except THAT one), and then I deleted the folder. And....it worked! I don't know why I didn't think of that much sooner. Thank...

I am running Windows XP on a new Dell Dimension. How do I get into DOS? I know if you hold down F8 when booting up, I can boot into a command prompt, but is that the same?

Here's the status of what I've tried so far: I found the My Way SA in the "Add or Remove Programs" list and removed it. The processes are gone from the HijackThis log too. Then I ran the MS Anti-Spyware Beta program, and it did not detect anything. I have NOT run the Winsockfix.exe yet. Should...

The CPal is Cookie Pal, it's a cookie blocker program. It's legit. I realized the MyWay stuff is probably built-in Dell crap. Thanks MechBgon for the link to analyse the output file. Nothing seems to be an obvious culprit. Hmm, I'll try safe mode next...

OMG, the best college prank was just pulled

That's a pretty lame prank. If you think it's the 'best college prank', you need to get out a little! Penny a door, saran wrap the door, fill a room w/ styrofoam peanuts, pour ice cold water on someone while in the shower, sleeping w/ your roommate's girlfriend....now those are all better...

Buying fist car.... Heres what I got to spend...What do ya think?

I agree, VW's are NOT reliable. I've had a few friends w/ Golfs where the windows just fell down into the door! Other stuff always goes wrong too. If you want sporty, a Mazda Protege might be in that budget, but maybe not.

Does anyone else really like the song Mr. Brightside by The Killers?

me likes the song....gotta remind my friend to burn the album for me. Is the version on the album different than the radio version? A few of the mp3's I d/l'ed were slightly diff than the radio. I want the damn radio version!!
