Yeah, if I could make them enforce the laws against illegal aliens working in this country I would, but I can't. Building a fence isn't going to make us look any stupider then sitting back and letting the Mexicans flood the country while we let educated people stand in line to come here...

Higher transfer rates in XP... why?

When i load a aprox. 500mb file in SF 50. (copying the file from a 60gxp to a ultrastar 18.3 LVD2 and creating a wave image) in w2k. it would take the machine 2-3 min. with all the right drivers installed and everything setup right... In XP the same situation takes around 30-40 sek. and the...

Who uses cooling on their RAM?

I saw there was some cooling kits for ram on the market... would i be better off with something like that for 512mb 800mhz rambus?

For smokers...

well, i have an exhaust fan in the wall, and a fan blowing down from above, smoke hang still in the air and sticks to light surfaces, if there is wind, it won't stick... even better when it get's sucked out... well it could be just 5000000

For smokers...

if you have somekind of airflow in your room, smoke is not a problem... and it would only damage cdrom,cdr,cdrw,floppy and tapedrives after 500000000 some smokes....

music plays to fast

maybe you clock is screwed up... check your soundcard, is it on 48.000khz or 44.100khz... if you recorded from a md by optical cable and the md is running 32.000khz and you machine recorded at 44.100khz then it will playback the sound 12.100khz to high... get soundforge, change the clock rate...

there is different types of setup for w2k pro, try typing install, or setup, or setupi386.exe, try cd i386, dir *.exe.... have some empty floppies ready...
