A64 3500+ overclocking...

Hi, I have an ASUS A8V Deluxe, A64 3500+ and 2x512Mb Corsair 3200LL RAM. What options do I have with regard to overclocking the CPU without pushing the RAM past it's rated speed? I think the answer is none... both CPU and RAM are at 200Mhz, right? So, if I wanted to push the 3500+ up a...

Best Heatsink fan (quite and cool) for AMD 64 90nm 3500+?

...also, using Ceramique. I think the case is probably as important as the cooler. I'm running a CoolerMaster Ali case with 2x80mm intake and 1x80mm rear, with a Tagan PSU helping with exhaust duties. MBM is reporting Case temps of 19-22°C, which obvously helps a great deal. JJ

Best Heatsink fan (quite and cool) for AMD 64 90nm 3500+?

I'm running an ASUS A8V with a 3500+, using a Zalman Super Flower (7000-Cu), and I've seen a maximum of 25°C so far (only built this 4 days ago). This is with the Zalman running it's minimum speed = silent. JJ

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ overheating

MunkyTOS, I've just built a new system, comprising an ASUS A8V, 3500+ and a Zalman Super Flower (CNPS7000B-Cu) and the highest CPU temperature reading I've seen so far is 25°C while gaming (NFSU; FarCry; Doom III). I'm seeing the exact opposite of your situation... I'm amazed at just how...

A8V Deluve Ram dual channel slots?

The manual (2-12) states that you should use DIMM_A1 and _B1 together for Dual. Put another way, "use the blue sockets".

Can Asus A8V do RAID 0+1 with 4x SATAs?

The A8V has two separate SATA controllers -- VIA and Promise. I wondered if anyone knows if it is possible to set up a RAID 0+1 array with 4 identical SATA drives? The Asus homepage (and every review and shop on t'Internet) mentions RAID 0+1, but I have a feeling that this may be purely on...
