I recently upgraded from a GTX 1660 Super to a GTX 1080 and my case is running way hotter then it was. I understand the 1080 runs hotter than the 1660 Super but it's pretty severe.
Here is the setup
Ryzen 3600X water-cooled with top mount 240m rad. Front 140mm intake fan, 1 rear 120MM exhaust...
So I am finally getting around to tinkering with my new build and I am trying to figure out the Ram timings with the 3600x. The RAM shows it should run at 3200mhz but its currently running at 2666. Would Ryzen Master be better for changing the speeds or the bios? Never used Ryzen Master so...
I had this exact same question. Local 1070 for $180. Local 1070 to for $240. Local 1080 for $280. I'm trying to decide between the 1660 super at $230 or 1080 @ $280. I'm thinking the 1080, but not sure as I know these were used for mining.
So I have been searching for a new micro atx case for a while and I can't seem to find the sweet spot. Here is what i am looking for.
solid front panel - as in no slots or USB/audio if possible
side window
covered or semi-covered Power Supply bay
no HDD expansion bays - prefer back mounted SSD...
So while messing around I read about Ryzen Master Utility. Using it I was able to run at 3800 with the stock HS and getting temps around 72 playing BFV for around 2 hours. That was around ~80% usage. I OC'd my memory to 2800. No issues so far.
I recently picked up a Ryzen 5 1600 and i am enjoying the boost in fps over my i5-6500. I am looking at overclocking in the near future and am wondering what the outlook has been for this CPU. I have been using intel for the last 8 years so have not kept up on AMD as of recent. What would be the...
I need a replacement card to last me for a few months. I found a Saphire Nitro R9 Fury for $140. Or an MSI RX 580 Armor for $180. I know the RX is lower heat and power draw but does the Fury have better performance? Benchmarks I saw show it perform at a GTX 1070 level.
EDIT: I am using a 1080p...
I don't know if you found something but when I was showing around I found a msi stealth pro. Has a 1060 6gb but a skylake cpu. Under 4lbs. Good reviews.
Does anyone know of current high end game benchmarks with laptop versions of the 1060 6gb and 1070 8gb? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the 350 price difference. Thanks.
Well as I stated step up would be prime. At the time I needed somthing on the cheap so that's why I chose it. But if Amd has a solid option then I may do that

Hello all, I am looking to upgrade and get a 4k setup going. Currently the rig has a i5-2400 in a xeon name. It has a gtx 1060 3g. I think I am still under step up so what is an nvidia option and or Amd option for the best buck?

I would probably go with the screen as well. Keep in mind freesync vs g-sync when getting the monitor if you do as what ever card u could could make things cheaper and or more expensive.
