If you load a new firmware into the WRT54G/GS do I have to manually configure all settings again or do the stay untuched? The increased signal strength, does it have an greate impact? Examples?
If so, I might want to try that firmware.
OK, thanks! I try to hold out for the XP-90 which got the highest rank over at overclockers.com. And its probably cheaper and lighter.
OR, I do have a chance of buying a n old sp-94. How much sjould I pay for it? OR, should I wait? OR.... ;-)
On what info do you base that statement? Is this considering noice as an important variable (ie holding dba constant). If it were true. I would be happy but it just sounds too good ;-)
Thanks Operandi, my thought was that a sp-94 coupled with a 92mm fan generates less noise than a 80mm. OR at the same noice level a 92mm fan push more air than a 80mm fan. That was my point. Considering coooling ONLY my alpha performes well, but I am not willing to pay the cost of noice.
AND...
OK, so I bought a Prescott. A 3.0E witch runs nicely a 3750 (havent tried any higher). Its cooled by an "old" Alpha, the model former to 8952T. Its been cooling my 1.8A @ 2.6 for a year now BUT the prescott needs som more air ;-) And 80mm fans doesnt suck/blow that much without the effect of...
Here you GO.
Burner127, in what way? I assume you are the "burner" from asusboards who wrote on this topic, right? In that case, dont you have the Asus P4C800E Deluxe? If so, are you sure its the same for IS7? WHat is the distance from socket upper edge to the PSU? Do you have any pictures? How...
Im planning on buying a XP-120 but am worried that it wount fit. I have a Antec Sonata and a Abit IS7. As you might know, the socket on IS7b is very close to the edge on the MB (se here: http://www.abit-usa.com/images/products/IS7_lg.jpg) AND the PSU on Sonata is close to the MBs upper end. SO...
OK, Ill go for the NW. You all convinced me, a little more expensive but more reliable in many aspects. A64 would be grate BUT then I have to get me another MB ALSO. I mainly work with picture and videoediting AND find Intel greate.
So, what you guys are saying is that its worth some extra bucks to get a NW? Then, what NW is the one to get. I dont want to spend any extra on ne HQ RAMso I plan on running my matched Twinmos PC3200 in the system. SHould I aim for a 2.8 and go for high bus speed (and running the ram at 4/5) or...
Yanagi, I have checked ALL stores, and you have to trust me, NO ONE have them in stock now. OK, there are some that have he 2.8NW in stoch BUT they are much more expensive so then is the question, is it wort $35 extra to get a 2.8NW. i can get a 3.4NW at itbutikken for £164GBP which is a mighty...
