New Logitech MX1000 Review!

I have v1.4 and it has the pickup/setdown delay too. Really annoying! I'm just gonna have to use my MX500 for FPS until there's a fix for this. Somehow, I don't think it can be done with a driver fix.

Just got mine in a few days ago... Running 1600x1200 @ 85Hz. Overall it's a great monitor for the price. However, the OSD navigation sucks.

Firewire Card recommendations for DV?

I'm looking for a firewire card for capturing video from a DV camcorder. What are the differences, besides the bundled software, between a generic firewire card and a DV firewire card like Pinnacle's Studio DV? Also, any recommendations?

20" Sony Trinitron 179+60=239 shipped

I don't have the monitor posted, but I do have a 20" HP A2094A which uses a Sony Trinitron tube. Mine, also, is not multisync. It's a pain in the ass to get it to work. My suggestion is that, if you want to use it for work, they're great, but I wouldn't bother trying to use them for...

NT Gurus: How do I repair bad NTFS.sys file on a HD?

For future references, Ontrack makes a program called EasyRecovery Pro. I was able to retrieve my files with this program after my NTFS partition messed up. It does some kind of low level reading of the hard disk which allows it to recovery the files.

macssuck... Does your 8/20 support writing of CD-TEXT. From what I remember from my old one, it doesn't. If it doesn't, then you don't have it all.

Risks of using ATA Raid (Promise / HighPoint)???

What are some risks of using ATA Raid like Promise or HighPoint? I've heard that with Promise, the drive information is stored on the card, so if the card messes up, you would have to reformat your drive with a new card. Is that true? -Kanedo
