Well I'd definitely reccomend it :) Had it for a few months now and have yet to find a single fault with it. It is a bit pricey compared to similiar Samsung models thanks to all the extra inputs it has.
why would you call it "extremely" widescreen ratio? 2.35:1 is the true widescreen ratio (i.e anamorphic widescreen) that has been around since the 1940s. It is a truer representation of the human eye's field of vision. 16:9 is just a compromise they came up with to suit home widescreen tv's. So...
true but they come with a few more features i believe. especially the samsung 215tw but i'm sure you already know about that. also has a feature where you can switch from wide to 4:3 mode through the OSD for older games which might not support widescreen resolutions. infact it switches...
well i would say for now yes dx10 will only work under vista so obviously you're not going to see it come out before vista. for the 2nd part of the question i wouldnt say that it will never work on xp ;)
holy hell its amazing how badly you're being ripped off there. i've been researching the x1900xt as well for my next upgrade and moving here to canada was probably the best thing i ever did in regards to computer hardware hehe because at the moment the current prices here equate to roughly Rs...
when you had the 215TW, did you ever find out if its HD-Ready Via DVI or Component Input with HDCP? I know the Gateway FPD2185W is but that one is pretty expensive for me right now and it does seem to be a remarkably similiar panel to the 215tw
well the problem i had with it mainly was finding a good balance between brightness/gamma and decent color fidelity. for example while browsing a page with a white backround i'd have to turn the brightness/gamma way down to avoid blinding myself. but then when i go view a highres pic on those...
I experimented around with a demo model of the 215Tw in futureshop last night. noticed the 4:3 option in the OSD too. The monitor was set to 1680x1050. Upon setting it to 4:3, it put black bars on the side but ofcourse everything looked compressed. I shouldve tried setting the resolution to a...
well i've given up on the vx2025wm. put my l90d+ back for now while the vx2025wm sits in the corner beside its box waiting to be packed up and returned. went down to futureshop last night and was quite impressed with the 215tw in terms of PQ,brightness/gamma balance and everything. with lcd...
did but to no avail unfortunately. upon launching the game they brightness and gamma settings get reset back to original values. and on going back to desktop they return back to the updated values.
