I do this so you don't have to... adventures in building a SFF-like Antec Aria system (Shuttle SB81P sucks!)

Dang. I was reading this happy story and decided to scroll to the bottom, and suddenly stuff is blowing up?? What the.. so I read back a bit and see what the problem was.. Strange, maybe the slot is hosed. Good luck.

I would not buy it from the *theif* but if someone just said it had originally been stolen, then I would buy it then turn around and sell it so i dont get caught with it down the line. the new buyer would not have any guilt issue since he/she would not know it had been stolen. :) either...

Antec SOHO II 400 w vs Antec Sonata 380 w suggestion

could someone give advixse on this CPU selection ?

I had this debate today when I went out and got an MSI K8N Neo-FSR and Newcastle 3200+. The fact is, sure 939 is better. Sure nforce4 is better. Sure having PCIx is better. Thats all fine and dandy. Then again, so is a 6800 Ultra graphics card. For me its about timing. At this time...

Antec Power Supply - Safety sacrificed for quiet?

Haha..sorry I was ranting a bit.. after reading all those PSU reviews mine looks pretty small. Yeah I have some case fans but they're hooked up to the PSU-controlled "FAN" power cables. So the Antec PSU is also controlling the case fans. Surely I"ll be setting them up on the regular power...

[XP Pro] Keep getting on again off again 'Local Area Connection- Network cable unplugged' icon notices!

I had an issue like this with my NetGear Wireless "NIC". However, NetGear was aware of it and had new drivers clearly available on their site. My conclusion is that there is a problem with the drivers that are currently installed for your NIC.

Motherboard reccomendations for a 1700+ (no overclocking)

Linux has a long way to go for the consumer market

When I installed SuSE, there were no mouse problems. SuSE is a very easy OS to install, even as easy as any windows version. As with windows, there are always one or two devices that need drivers or would be well off if you installed the latest drivers. and $29 was a good price.

Soyo Dragon Plus! Owners: help please?

I have the Dragon Plus along with 256MB of Mushkin PC2100 and 512MB of Samsung PC2100. Also have the Athlon XP 1700+. I used to overclock back in the celeron days but lately I dont see the point. The relative overclocking results are not that much, even if you're 200mhz faster. Now if I could...
