solving the problem of hydrogen powered cars?

I thought i remember seeing on the discovery channel a couple years back that some chemests had found a way to combind the hydrogen with some form of carbon, and they could than fit something like 15 times more hydrogen per cubic inch than they could by compressing it. - jason

If your changing boards, and theres no integrated stuff on either of the boards.. you probably wont have any problems, tho it is better to reformat. if your changing chipsets, and dont reformat, your just asking for trouble. i changed from BX to via... my system booted and all, but things were...

Creative Labs NERO??? Lite-on???

I swear by Nero. i have an HP drive, doesnt have burn proof, and i have NO problmes with buffer underruns. nero has never reported a buffer under 97%, and i can do anything short of opening a game (even tried to watch a divx movie once, didnt have enough CPU power :)) - Jason

Anybody try running win 2000 with Pentium 166 and 32 meg EDO?

i booted 2k up on my P-200 MMX w/38 megs of 72 pin ram (dunno waht kind?) it was laggy as hell, and took about twice as long to boot as it did on my P-II 400 (i had taken the drive out of my 400 and put it in the 200, and bolth comp's are ata/33) i would NOT recomend even bothering to try to run...

URGENT HELP! Windows 2000 won't boot! WHAT THE HELL?

sounds like you are fu*ked man.. take the drive and put it in another puter, and back up the files off of it and format. sorry :( i drfagged win2k once, and it never worked right after it, not to mention the drive was only like 1% fragmented after 4 months of use.. oh well :( ended up...

Which components do you keep the longest?

eh... i think i win the cake here: 17" nanao moniter from 1992 Logitech serial mouseman from the 486 days my cable mod nic.. 10 meg ISA eitherexpress, got it free from my school, i would asume it is about 10 years old or so. my sound system is prob the oldest.. it is older than me infact...

I'll finally admit it...

uhhhhh macs suck for like everyting other than photoshop and other digital editing stuff. IMO, they are ugly as a cows ass, and they arent that fast. MHz for MHz, they beat any x86 stuff, but x86 has twice the MHz under the belt. go to a mac if ya want no one is stoping you but they dont have...

NTFS or FAT32?

fat 32.. i have used bolth extensivly, and havent noticed a difference. if you format in NTFS, than you can use a boot disk or boot off the win98 cd rom if something were to happen to you computer to fix/get files off of it. right now, my 2k partition is formated in NTFS, and it is a pain. i...

Thnkig of getting a new BX Board.

IMO, the BX is tired and due to be replaced. my P-II 400 is running comfterbily on a BX, but that is the chipset it was designed for. the Coppermines are ment to run on a 133+ bus speed, and the BX is just not ment to do that. it can run that fast, but everything is out of spec. get the ASUS 815...

Win2000 sucks for gaming... a question I have... How can I tweak a dual boot?

yea, when you install windows 2k, it will automaticly set up a dual boot menu, and will default to boot to windows 2k. what you CANT do is install win 9x over 2k, it screws up the master boot record (i know from experence...) so, you will have to do a format and install 98 first, unless you want...

Is there a reason NOT to buy 80 minute CDR's?

i just boutght thoes 80 min imation CD-r's from worst buy, and they are not neerily as good of quality as the 74 min cd-r's. i dont know, but it seams like most of the 80 min cd's are poor quality. - Jason

When is a 300watt power supply necessary?

i have a crappy deer 250 watt PSU, and it seems to work fine. P-II 400, 5400 rpm maxtor, 120 megs of ram, and a couple PCI cards, cd rom and a burner. ill have another 5400 RPM drive tomarrow. also, fans draw like 12 watts, you have to have more fans than you could stand listening to to make...
