A lot of broad market funds aren't as broad as they claim. Some contain large amounts of big tech like apple or nvidia, so if those go down hard, the whole fund does. I don't know which stock was down, but you can check the holdings on the fund on their website.
Tesla is actually increasing the number of cars it makes and sells and doing a fairly good job of it. The big rise comes from the fact that he is cozy with trump and will likely get trump to make policies that benefit Tesla, like cancelling rebates for other electric vehicles, adding tariffs etc.
We are seeing a lot of gains in small and mid cap. I have VB, MDY and IJH which are growing well. The consensus is that since large cap has largely outperformed, its small and mids turn. Also its believed that the Trump administration will allow more M&A in this space. M&A is usually big...
How are you positioning your portfolio for the US debt apocalypse? We borrow over $1 trillion a year just to pay off the interest on our debt and neither candidate shows signs of caring. Buy bitcoin, gold?
Amazes me that 122% revenue growth isn't enough. I guess the thought is that AI will calm down and demand will go down so nobody wants to bet on revenue growth like this forever.

I never had any stock, but Chipotle has been a big winner for some. The 20 year return is 7200% and I think a big part of that is because their food being dramatically overpriced. Beans, rice and tortillas are dirt cheap and rarely jump in price.

Doubt it:
It’s commonly thought that monetary policy works with “long and variable lags” …There was an old literature that made those lags out to be fairly long. There’s newer literature that says that they’re shorter. The truth is, we don’t have a lot of data…. It’s highly uncertain – highly...
I had the same thought. Thanks to the stock market going up, people will feel more wealthy and will spend more and prices rise. In fact we have had record retirements as retirees feel they have enough saved. If the market crashes they may feel they need to go back to work.
But I also thought...
