The warranty for the digicam is only 1-yr for parts and ONLY 90 DAYS for labor (ridiculous). I would ask Fry's what is being extended. And don't take the sales person's words, I would ask for a copy of the extended warranty disclaimer. I'm usually have doubts about the extended warranties...
According to the Canadian FZ2's manual, in shuttle prioirity mode:
"The available setting range of the shutter speed is adjustable from 8 seconds to
1/2000th."
You can find the FZ2 manual at Panasonic's Canadian website if you're interested, after having done the FZ1 -> FZ2 firmware upgrade...
Yup, 8MB is a big joke. But I think the most any company included w/ their camera is 32MB. One should buy extra memory anyways. I'm not sure how it is with most cameras, but the thing I like about this one is that when recording a movie, it's fast (maybe because it's 15fps?) and data is...
I got mine today also. Just play around w/ some pictures and upgraded the firmware, which was very easy and flawless. I'm loving it. And it's smaller than what I was expected.

Can't...

Check out smartbargains.com and do a search for "Visco". The one I bought is not the same...
Got one earlier tonight with a non-returned mobo. I just asked for it.
In south SF Bay area, it is $89.99 for the combo. The CPU is indeed Barton - retail version (nice HSF unit, w/ free AMD case sticker!).
HTH.
It could be a very hot deal...good alternative (in terms of pricing) to DSL.
Well all, the OP did say:
Won't hurt if you call and ask if it's available in your area.
