Anyone here have hands-on experience with 2-in-1 laptops?

I have a Lenovo Miix ... it seems to me that most 2in1's are heavier than a normal laptop ... even taking the keyboard off still means you have a heavy tablet. How about a 4GB Chromebook for browsing and a 10 hour battery life? Then perhaps one of the cheaper Chinese windows tablets for...

Buying a laptop from USA for use in UK : sensible?

Power supply is probably dual voltage but the plug will require a simple adapter. Keyboard layout will be slightly different e.g. the @ and " keys will be in different locations ... also obviously a $ key instead of a GBP key

Intel June Canyon NUC

I got an NUC6i3 about 2 years ago and was not that impressed. I thought that with the Intel name the PC would work OK straight out of the box but it seemed to me that Intel had rushed the PC to market without thoroughly testing it. There were immediate problems and the BIOS had to be upgraded...

Thinking of installing Win10 32-bit on low-spec "laptop" (more like netbook)

I may be wrong because I tried several different methods until I got it to work, but from what I remember it had to be a USB drive and not a microSD ... also it may have been that the process didn't recognize an existing USB drive but required a USB drive to be inserted only when prompted...

I had a similar situation a year or so ago when I upgraded from W8.1 to W10 and thought of the W10 32bit version but no drivers available. My knowledge is very limited so some of the following may be wrong but my comments;- 1. In Disc Cleanup have you tried the "clean up system files" option...

Worth upgrading Sager from Windows 7 to Windows 10?

Incredibly slow laptop

Incredibly slow laptop

My own views ... a cheap laptop with dual core Celeron N2840, 2GB of ram and 32GB eMMC with compressed OS of win10 works OK ... none of that sort of lag that you describe. The dual core N2840 is a bit better than the dual core AMD E1-6010 ... but difference in performance should not be...
