This is a good deal, so much so I bought two for my RAID setup. I've got one and its a Diamond MAx Plus 8 with p/n 6E030L0. The question now is can I get the rebate for both drives? Both drives are coming to the same household.

I could be wrong, but when you update your OS, update files are stored in a folder within windows. If this is true, then can you just make a copy of that folder and put it in other systems to update?
uninstall your video drivers, use default XP drivers, that will fix your bluescreen problem.
take a look at your IRQs. disable devices that you dont use and free up your IRQs

to get noticeable proformnce boost out of adding addition ram, use a portion of ram as a ramdisk. I have win xppro with 768 mb of ram which I use 150mb for a ramdrive. Using ramdrive for any disk intensive task, speeds up the process noticeably. When I'm editing .wav files in Cool Edit Pro...
