1.65V is fine. I'm running my ram at that too, so I don't think that's causing the problem.
1.25 V vcore is extremely low for 4.7 GHz, so that's probably your problem. I'm not sure why you aren't seeing that problem when you set that voltage in windows, but I'd expect 1.35 V for 4.7 ghz.

I have the original one with the defect (haven't gotten around to exchanging it yet because it's working fine for me), but microcenter emailed me that they were getting some in stock last week. I don't think they've put them on their website yet, but some of the stores may actually have them if...
I think that they're actually selling the processor at a loss (called a loss leader) to get people into the store. They're hoping you'll buy a motherboard, memory, etc.
The processors were not affected by the recall--only the motherboards, so these are fine.
I have an ASUS p8p67 pro, and I like it. It supports SLI, so if you don't need that, just go with the p8p67 model and save some money.
I know that those were the release prices for sandy bridge, but they did up the prices $20 in the past 2 weeks and just lowered them again on Monday, which is why I posted this. I'll update the main description to make this more clear.
