Computer won't recognize all of the memory

Problem is I can only put the 1GB sticks in banks 5/6. When I do any other configuration, I get an error before booting, and it tells me to check the BIOS. When I check the BIOS, it told me some sort of error about dual channel sticks or something...but I can only put the sticks in banks 5/6...

Ok, so I think the entire computer is funked, and needs a new motherboard. It's possible that she fried it when she replaced the hard drive, that's the only thing that makes sense. Don't have a spare video card to test out, but the ram swap proved nothing. Dang it - now have to find a...

Alright, we have a spare computer downstairs, I can jack that video card and attempt. Didn't look on the back panel, will look and report back. Thanks for the start! Also, computer does not beep at all during it's startup. So, no error codes to track down :-( KS

Yes, I would personally delete. You've already verified it's spyware, and no legitimate process would hide itself in that directory. That entry in regedit, is probably in "Windows\CurrentVesion\Run" or "RunOnce" or some path similar to that, right? That's also another place these rouge...

I would guess that maybe a Spyware Cleaner might have removed it, and Windows is still being told to load it up at startup maybe? Either way, you need to find that entry that is referencing that path. A few ways, you could try using msconfig (Start / Run / Type in "msconfig" without the...

THANK YOU! Just disabled "Simple File Sharing", and that's all I needed. Now, I can browse all my folders via Explorer. Thanks again! KS

How to browse any directory on other machines on my network? (Resolved)

Two machines, both on my network, I'm administrators on both of them. (Both Windows XP) I just want to be able to browse the directories on either machine back and forth. But when I try to force a directory (That's not shared), it asks for Authentication. But the username is greyed out...
