It's $498.82US at ewiz. I opted for the 2001fp though since I've used it for gaming and liked it and the reports of some banding or other oddities in the black-reds on the L2000C worried me.
That's assuming that newer is better. The LCD lag issue is an example, I'm feeling a bit cautious. And I hate paying for return shipping.
edit: I'm hoping the Dell 2007fp has the same LG panel since Dell is popular enough to get tested by more hardware sites.
I'd like to see some 4:3 panels in the recommendations in the OP. I'm particularly interested in 20.1" and for gaming. I've seen a few mentioned but don't know what's actually recommended. I've seen the following mentioned:
Dell 2001fp
Samsung 204B
Samsung 204T
NEC LCD2070NX
LG L2000C...
That's pretty bad. Looks similar to the backlight bleed on a Samsung 17" that I returned. I was looking at the Dell displays at a kiosk at the mall and the guy there said it was a relabeled Samsung which really put me off.
This whole thread is just bait.
It's pretty well accepted that the next rev of the xbox is going to be similar to what we have now but for $99 plus a required yearly subscription to Live service.
A story at IEEE Online talks about how capacitors on motherboards are leaking and causing problems. The article mentions that Abit has publicly acknowledged the problem and will fix or replace faulty boards. IBM has apparently also contacted some customers about the potential problem.
An...
FX.
Nobody really expected the Parahelia to be great. People expected NV30 to rock the house. Parahelia just proved people right, while the FX was the major letdown.
