    took us 90min to get in, but checkout only took about 15min. they've got some good deals - the 27" TV for $129 was flying off the shelves, and the $50 120GB WD HDD seemed very popular.

    winXP without sp1 has a maximum partition size of 137GB. you have three choices: 1) create partitions smaller than this 2) do 1) and then resize them after you install SP1 3) slipstream SP1. go ask google how to do it. :)

    SPCR is an excellent ref. check out the Antec SLK-3700AMB. it's very popular because it's got 120mm case fans that you can turn waaaay down, and it's got rubber grommets for the 3.5" drives. it's a lot cheaper than the sonata. you might also check these cases and if cost isn't a problem...

    i'm in the same boat, except i'm driving mine and not flying it. and i'm still removing the HS. motherboards should not be subject to that much torque. of course, i have a zm80a-hp on my 9800 pro, which absoulutely has to come out, so taking the system whole isn't an option anyhow.

    well, since that 19" lcd will be running no higher than 1280x1024, it shouldn't be a problem. it has about the same screen area as your 21" trinitron...

    it's pretty good for lcds, esp considering free shipping and no tax for most people. the only thing i have to say about 17", 18" 19": they almost all have native resolution 1280x1024. getting a 19" over a 17" just makes your pixels larger, it doesn't give you any more screen real estate. maybe...

    in my eyes, you've gotta get below 25ms pixel response times for fps gaming. the 1800fp, which is otherwise a very, very nice monitor (with a 25ms response time), definitely has trouble keeping up with counter-strike. the 16ms panels are all 17". they are all based on the same AUO panel - so...

    uh oh. looks like someone is getting a new monitor tomorrow. :) if you're looking for the 16ms panels, you want either the planar px171 550 - 40 = 510 or the viewsonic vp171 516 - 40 = 476 but these both use the same AUO panel as the hitachi cml175, which you can get any day of the week...
