Question PC crashing when approaching/exceeding 50% ram usage

Sadly I've tried this already, same result. No overclock on the RAM, BIOS is fully updated. Thanks I will give both of these a try. Thanks, I'll keep trying :) for now it's just kind of working until I approach the limit and then quickly closing everything when it starts to lag.

abit ax8 problem ...

Neither my mouse or keyboard ps2 ports are working on my new ax8 mobo. I get no POST codes, it boots fine otherwise. I have to use my case USB connectors to get the keyboard/mouse to work, attempting to use the ax8 usb ports gives me a POST code 5.2. abit ax8 mobo amd 3000+ 64 venice 4x...

First AMD system in 8 years.....

My mistake, didn't see the 2.0 after the truepower. You can also get aftermarket VGA heatsinks for a lot of cards out there if you can't find a fanless one that you like: zalman zm80d thermaltake cl-g0003 be quiet! polar freezer (depending on where you live) I ended up doing this...

anybody use an ax8 with samsung ram?

I've decided that I want this board because of the space it gives everything, and the passive NB heatsink. No oc'ing, no crazy stuff, just a home PC. I've heard it's anal with RAM, but would like to know if anybody uses it with Samsung RAM.

First AMD system in 8 years.....

Have you considered going for the antec smartpower power supply, they are the newer version of the truepower (and are apparently quieter).

I'm planning on putting the thermaltake g0003 heatsink on this card, but I need to know if it has mounting holes on the PCB. I'm only going to purchase the card if it does, does anybody know for sure?

Thanks, I've actually reconsidered some things, but am still not sure about the space issue. I'm thinking about going with the Zalman 7000B heatsink/fan combo, it looks to be good for my needs and I'm positive that the ram will fit. I also prefer they way the fan works. I'm also going...
