GA-MA790X-UD4P sound cuts out or doesnt work

I was able to get some sound tonight via reboot, though it's still unreliable as hell. Made getting my first Sarth 2d kill as the MT a little hairy. Will see what drivers are available, I assume vista 64 would be the bes driver version to get and then run compatibility for Vista SP2...

I've tried relocating my old Vent install to the new W7 drive, I've tried leaving it on the old IDE drive that is now the backup and using a shortcut, I've tried installing new versions, but vent just does not play well with Windows 7. Any tips or tricks from the W7 experts to get them to behave?
