I'm using a PCI latency of 64 to good effect, but then I don't use onboard sound. Seeing as I spent my budget on this board and the Barton 2500+, I'm still stuck with my two sticks of Kingston 256Mb PC2700. Has anyone got any advice or experience in what the best overclocking strategy would be...

Voltage question

If it was really running at 3.6 it ought to be frying your CPU, so this suggests that you have a motherbaord problem - not that surprising when you consider how old it is. My Asus P2-B, in it's fourth system, gave up the ghost earlier this year - I/O errors on all disk drives - taking a floppy...

I've read that the performance hike is nothing to write home about, but then isn't SATA more a future-proofing thing at present? Now for a different question. Is there a guide anywhere to BIOS settings for the board, outside the CPU/RAM/voltage?

Boon my dear boy, I meant that NForce 2 is on revision 2.0. What revision is the KT600? I'm not sure what features you want if it's not the audio, coz all the other ones you mentioned are on the latest NF2 boards...:confused:

An Nforce 2 Ultra will be a revised version of the original NForce board and should have had any issues ironed out. That is definitely true for the Abit NF7-S, which is also an overclocker's dream and very stable. They also have SATA, Firewire, and a parallel to serial adapter. IMO the Barton...

I gotta simple question (I feel sure) for you guys, concerning connecting one of the USB headers to my Lian Li. One of the Lian Li cables says "Shield". I guess this is equivalent to Ground as per the ABit manual (I already have two cables that say Ground 1 & 2). If I was going to bet I'd say it...
