PlanetSide now free.

well the game is going to take me about 40 minutes to update as of now. It looks pretty awesome. Though you said the game is free.... Only for online play and its only a trial. I have to actually buy the game and put in the serial to play forever. Might be worth it though.

7900GT or x1800xt

Im upgrading my computer soon. Decided on getting x2 3800. Want to know what video card to get. Heard that 7900gt's are great for the money and that they are better than nvidias 7800GTX. I have also heard that the x1800xt is a great card, but its a little spendy... any suggestions?

Video cards

Guys, Im pretty sure Im upgrading my video card to a 7900GTX. Only thing im worried about is if my power supply can handle it. I have a 500W allied which seems to be alright in wattage. Though i heard that the card needs 22 amps on the 12v. My psu only seems to put out 20 amps on the 12v. Is...

Deadseasquirrel thanks. That COD 2 benchmark really stunned me. By reading that i noticed that the investing in cpu's doesnt really pay off. Its the video card that really gets the bang for your buck. Ive come down to 2 decisions, X1900XT or 7900GTX

Are you sure man? I dont think i need a flat screen right now. Will probably get one down the road. Im looking into also upgrading my CPU and getting into overclocking.

Well im saving right now and Im looking at this computer upgrading extravaganza to begin during the summer. My budget will probably be around $700-$800, which is all I will probably be willing to spend. This computer is mostly for gaming seeing as how my rig isnt at the top of its game...
