Okay I will be getting in touch with my CC company and will have a talk with the gym manager this week. I've filed a complaint with the BBB as well. Thanks for the help guys- hopefully I won't have to resort to any of the more drastic measures mentioned but if all else fails I'll definitely...

I don't exactly have the luxury of simply treating this as a costly mistake at the moment, which is why I posted asking for advice. Admittedly I was a bit naive in signing the contract but please recognize that I was also deliberately misled.

Okay, I'll try this tomorrow. Where would one find this free advice? BTW the gym was Bally's, as someone picked up on earlier in the thread. Granted I was pretty stupid in this situation, but apparently I'm not the only one they've snagged.

Thanks for the help guys. I provided false SSN, address, and phone number in registration. However my main concern is that even if I cancel my CC account or try to evade payment along those lines it will negatively impact my credit in the future.

Manager said that they have a signed document, nothing they can do about it. If I deny payment, wouldn't the gym go to a collection agency?

Phi Beta Kappa is typically capped at top 10% and is the one honor society that actually indicates distinguished achievement at the undergrad level. May I ask which school this is at?
