Asus A7V133 - can I use this cpu?

According to their web site, bios version 1007 adds support for the Athlon XP CPU. No other details are listed though.

McAfee back up

I'm about to install a new hard drive and would like to move my downloaded update files for McAfee Virus Scan 6.0 to the new drive. What file or files do I to copy to the new drive? I really don't want to sit through an hour of downloading updates if possible. Thanks, Kevin

Help me decide - ECS K7S5A/Duron 1.1 or Gigabyte GA6OXT-A/Celeron 1.1

Quoch.......go for the K7S5A! In a few months if you want more speed you can pick up an Athlon XP 2000+ and that K7S5a will be luv'in it!!!!!! If you go with the Celeron you are stuck with a socket 370 motherboard that won't run ANY higher end Intel Processors...like the Pentnium 4 for instance.

AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it normal for a CPU to cause this sort of problem? I have an 800 duron I'll try, but it seems strange that the CPU would work, then not work... Man I keep thinking this thing isn't getting enuf power, but that Antec 350 should crank it up shouldn't it?

Need help choosing a modem for ECS K7S5A

I picked up 4 Zoom 56k pci in the refurbished bin for $9.00 each at newegg a couple weeks ago. All 4 worked real well too. If they don't have the refurbished I'd suggest getting the OEM they have. Good modem fur sure, and no ones better that newegg to deal with!

HELP!

Ok, I did have the ATX cable plugged in the second time, and got nothing. I tried resetting the video card, and also the RAM, ect... still dead. Is it possible the surge followed the 40 pin cables from the CDROM and Hard Drive to the motherboard? God I hope I didn't cook everything....

Oh man, I just did something really stupid. I was replacing a power supply and connected everything (CDROM, hard drive, floppy, ect...) but didn't plug the power cable into the ATX connector. I plugged in the computer and turned the switch on for the power supply at it popped. Now the power...
